What You will Be Doing:
- Collaborate with business partners at all levels, both locally and globally, to align legal strategies with business objectives.
- Provide legal guidance on regulatory matters such as Anti-Kickback Statutes, False Claims Act, antitrust, and transparency laws.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
- Assess and weigh multiple factors when advising on decisions or courses of action.
- Develop and implement company-wide or function-specific policies, processes, and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and contracting procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
- JD from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Minimum 5 years of in-house legal counsel experience (top-tier law firm candidates considered) advising multinational medical device companies in areas of intellectual property, compliance, commercial contracts, antitrust, privacy, healthcare fraud and abuse, FDA regulatory, corporate, and M&A
- Extensive experience with commercial contracts, GPOs, and IDNs agreements.
- Expertise in healthcare fraud and abuse laws, including False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute.
- CA bar license required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (5-15%).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant commercial healthcare legal experience.
- Experience with FDA regulations, HIPAA, and healthcare privacy laws.
- M&A transaction and strategic partnership experience.
- Fluency in German is a plus.
