As a Senior PDT Microwave Technician, RF Devices, You will be responsible for applying experience and judgment to determine the most appropriate method to correlate design and layout to meet laboratory and production requirements. You will be responsible for determining methods, sequence of operations, lay out, fabrication, assemblies, testing, troubleshooting, for the production of electronic circuitry of control devices, units, sub-systems, systems and associated test equipment. These tasks will require the application of extensive knowledge, experience and creativity. Your success will rely on your keen knowledge of electrical components microwave theory, RF operation, soldering and wire wrap skills.

What You Will Do

  • Lay out circuitry and location of control and electrical devices and assemblies for developmental and production projects.
  • Assist engineers and research assistants in the design of chassis and test equipment circuitry exercising technical judgment in establishing circuit details, selecting components and making substitutions.
  • Assist engineers and research assistants in the design of circuitry.
  • Fabricate, assemble, calibrate, troubleshoot and test standard, special or improvised instruments and test equipment that will require technical experience and skill in order to obtain desired results where a measure of original thinking and initiative is required.
  • Set-up and conduct tests using specially designed laboratory equipment to resolve electronic and/ or related electromechanical problems; records, consolidates and interprets test data as required preparing reports, charts, graphs, or presentation, review and/ or discussion of conclusions with the company and customer personnel.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure a safe work environment by the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) per company policy. Will maintain strict adherence to the uniform policy set forth by the company.
  • Provide necessary guidance and direction to other personnel, including type of equipment and material needed to safely complete task.
  • Complete and maintain all necessary certifications, including but not limited to Space Hardware Certification, FOE (Foreign Object Elimination), ESD (Electrostatic Discharge), and appropriate material handling equipment certifications (where applicable), and DOT certifications as required, to maintain required driver license for position held.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires an Associate Degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience in industrial security

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Previous NSA COMSEC certification.
  • Experience working in an SAP and SCI environment.
  • Experience with COMSEC Accounting, Reporting & Distribution System (CARDS)
  • Experience with troubleshooting COMSEC equipment.
  • Experience in the management of Windows based information systems.
  • Knowledgeable of legacy COMSEC equipment.
