A Little More About What You Will be Doing The Senior Ultrasound Tech supports patient care by performing ultrasound procedures as directed by the physician. They demonstrate proficiency with the use of ultrasound equipment and associated procedures. This position performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently. Schedules and performs ultrasound procedures by performing proper diagnostic scan recognition; maintains quality assurance/improvement standards of ultrasound procedures. Correlates ultrasound procedures with patient medical history. Maintains patient records and completes patient discharges. Cleans and maintains equipment; ensures adequate stock of supplies by placing orders. Knowledgeable about advanced imaging features to support enhanced capturing of data. Maintains patient records and completes patient discharges. Retrieves studies from PACS for review and assists with quality assurance. Supports team approach and service focus work with colleagues in a “team approach” to encourage a positive and service-oriented image for the department. Acts as a role model in providing care; assists in precepting Ultrasound Techs. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma/GED is required Vocational/Technical Diploma, graduate of an accredited ultrasound program required Experience: 3 years Diagnostic Ultrasound Sonographer experience is required.
