WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
The Spring Fabricator makes parts according to product specifications. Produces product according to the production schedule dictated by the area Supervisor and Lead. Products are to be manufactured at expected productivity levels without sacrificing product quality. Uses precision measuring equipment to inspect and certify that all products that are manufactured meet customer requirements. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by being engaged in Saint-Gobain’s safety culture and contributing to the implementation and sustaining of the company’s 5S principles.
Essential Functions:
- Make quality parts that meet customer specifications in a fast-paced work environment.
- Manage time effectively and adhere to schedules in order to meet customer demands without compromising product quality.
- Read blueprint drawings and work orders to understand and meet customer specifications.
- Accepts or rejects parts and records inspection results.
- Learns and performs set-ups with little to no supervision.
- Use basic computer navigation to input labor and move transactions.
- Learns and operates multiple pieces of spring fab equipment while maintaining production quality standards.
- Applies problem-solving techniques to daily work.
- Meets daily and ongoing production quotas in a machine shop production environment.
- Strives for and promotes a safe and accident-free work environment.
- Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles.
- Contributes to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor or Lead.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
- A High School Diploma or GED is required
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written materials, including blueprint drawings, job orders, etc.
- Working knowledge of and ability to use measuring instruments
- Basic computer knowledge and good math skills
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, good attendance, and flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Manual dexterity is required to operate measuring instruments
- Knowledge and willingness to train and assist co-workers as required

BENEFITS IN JOINING US

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $21.00 to $28.00 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/a quarterly bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 7.5% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position is $43,680 to $58,240. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.
Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:
- Shift Differentials (i.e. Hourly Rate plus 2nd Shift Differential of $1.00/ hr.
- Standard Overtime (Hourly Rate * 1.5)
