Lead Data Pipeline Engineer – (Snowflake: Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel)

As a key member of our team, the Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting essential enterprise Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data integration, ETL processes, and business intelligence to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and leveraging skills and experience to create end-to-end solutions, from data acquisition and modeling to reporting and visualization. The candidate will continuously assess and adopt new technologies, methodologies and practices to enhance data processing capabilities. This position is crucial in ensuring high-quality data operations and providing valuable insights to support the organization’s decision-making processes.

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms for performance and scalability
  • Configure and manage Snowflake data infrastructure components
  • Collaborate with analysts and BI developers to design and implement data models that support reporting and analytical requirements
  • Monitor and optimize ETL jobs for performance, reliability, and scalability, implementing best practices for data processing
  • Ensure high levels of data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes
  • Implement data governance best practices to maintain data accuracy and compliance with organizational standards
  • Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented
  • Work closely with offshore team(s) and participate in scrum calls
  • Understand normalized and star-schema physical models and logical modeling concepts
  • Collaborate with Oracle ERP Analyst to identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Participate and handle full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Coach/mentor other team members as appropriate to facilitate their professional development

Work Experience

  • Required:
    • 7-10 years – Experience in Snowflake
    • 7-10 years  – Experience in designing and building complex Data Pipelines
    • 7-10 years  – Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
    • 7-10 years  – Experience Tools like Databricks/Azure Data Factory
    • 7-10 years  – Experience with Data Modeling, Data Mart design, Data Pipeline/ETL Architecture
    • 5-7 years  – Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues in ETL jobs and BI solutions
    • 3-5 years  – Experience in performance tuning of ETL process, Reports/Dashboards
    • 2-4 years  – Experience with PL/SQL to support ETL processes
    • 2-4 years  – Experience with Data Analysis using Python or R programming
    • 2 year(s)  – Experience in Oracle Analytics Cloud Services (OACS) or PowerBI
  • Preferred:
    • 10+ years experience in Snowflake
    • 10+ years  – Experience in designing and building complex Data Pipelines
    • 10+ years – Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform

    • 2-4 years  – Experience in Oracle Hyperion/EPM
    • 2-4 years  – Experience in Oracle Analytics Cloud Services (OACS) or PowerBI
    • 2-4 years experience with tools like Databricks/Azure Data Factory
    • 0-2 year(s)  – Experience with MapViewer and geospatial analysis
    • 0-2 year(s)  – Experience using Oracle Data Mining to create predictive models

$107,143.99 – $150,001.60 / Yearly
