Staff Accountant (Woodland Hills, CA)

Position Summary
Responsible for supporting financial operations, maintaining accurate records, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Works closely with finance and cross-functional teams to deliver timely reporting and support business financial health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts including bank reconciliations.
  • Support preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Help prepare audit schedules and support internal/external audits.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and implement process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Typically 2 to 5 years of accounting experience (corporate, public, or comparable).
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
