Now Hiring: Staff Accountant

Compensation: $34.00-$43.00 hourly DOE
Our client, a respected and mission-driven non-profit organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization by managing the general ledger, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting both accounts payable and receivable processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders.
Conduct monthly budget reviews with program managers, providing key insights and financial analysis.
Manage general ledger functions, including reconciliations, allocations, and journal entries.
Oversee day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and check generation.
Support budget development and revisions in collaboration with program and finance teams.
Assist with audit preparation, ensuring documentation is complete and compliant.
Work closely with internal departments and external partners to provide financial data and reporting support.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial workflows and accuracy.
Support the Controller on special projects and strategic financial initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on accounting experience (general ledger, reporting, bank reconciliation).
Previous experience in non-profit accounting is required.
Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel required.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative approach.
Strong communication skills for working with internal teams and external stakeholders.
