Department of Neurology Expected salary range for positons $111,100.00 – $200,000.00 Your Role on the Team Supports the Department of Neurology by serving a clinical role. Physicians supervise and/or perform professional and scientific work in one or more fields of medicine; and perform other related duties as required as they pertain to general neurology. The physician will be responsible for following proper clinical policies and guidelines, assessing clinical activities and performance, assisting with monitoring and attainment of fiscal and utilization objectives and assuring compliance with applicable regulatory, accrediting, and credentialing/privileging standards. Acts as liaison to the Medical Staff, and works closely to identify and resolve medical matters within the clinic and/ or wards in related activities. What It Takes to be Successful Required: Ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fluid, fast-paced work environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to problem solve objectively. Ability to offer counsel when needed. Hold a M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine License/certificate to practice medicine in the State of California and board certification/ eligible or equivalent or special waiver of board certification. Current BLS Special Conditions: Some local travel will be required between the UCI main campus and the medical center.
