Department Summary The Department of Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology advances our knowledge of life on earth at the cellular and molecular levels. Our faculty conducts research with a variety of models including Arabidopsis, Drosophila, zebrafish, mouse and stem cells to address the most pressing problems in biology, health and sustainability. Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join the dynamic lab of Dr. Andrew Goldstein in the Department of Molecular, Cell & Developmental Biology. In this role, you will work on exciting projects involving 2D and 3D stem cell, cell line, and organoid cultures, as well as mouse tumor implantation and treatment studies. You will gain hands-on experience in cell culture, molecular biology assays, metabolic profiling, and in vivo experiments while contributing to groundbreaking discoveries. As a key team member, you will conduct experiments, maintain a lab notebook, perform essential lab maintenance, and collaborate closely with the PI and fellow researchers. Qualifications Prior experience with cell culture and western blotting (Required) And Work with stem cell cultures and/or organoids (Preferred) Or Prior experience with mice (Preferred) Proficiency in 2D/3D stem cell, cell line, and organoid culture. (Preferred) Experience with techniques such as western blotting and PCR. (Required) Knowledge of mouse experiments. (Preferred) Ability to maintain chemical stocks, reagents, and equipment. (Required) Strong attention to detail in maintaining lab notebooks and documenting results. (Required) Knowledge of biosafety regulations and proper lab safety procedures. (Required) Capacity to balance experimental work, lab maintenance, and reporting responsibilities efficiently. (Required) Ability to work well with other lab members and operate in a transparent and open scientific environment (Required) Ability to identify and resolve experimental and equipment-related issues. (Required) Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and maintain lab efficiency. (Required) Ability to present findings clearly in lab meetings and written reports. (Required) Ability to analyze experimental results and troubleshoot methodologies.
