Description

The Bhaduri Lab seeks a Staff Research Associate I to support human stem cell and organoid-based neuroscience/cancer research. The position will execute and maintain core wet-lab workflows, including hESC/iPSC culture and validation, organoid generation and experimental treatment, sample harvest and processing for RNA/immunostaining/other downstream assays, molecular biology techniques (including cloning/PCR/immunostaining), mammalian cell culture, and lab operations support (reagent organization and workflow readiness). The SRA I will work independently in a fast-paced collaborative lab, communicate results effectively, and help ensure reliable, reproducible research output across multiple active sponsored projects.

Salary: $28.69 – $34.21 hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to keep a lab notebook and organize common lab resources.
  • Knowledge of basic cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemical principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to convey experimental results.
  • Ability to learn new methods and protocols and to adapt these to current laboratory situations.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows, and    students.

 

Preferred:

  • B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computer Science or other related science.
  • Experience in a wet lab, either through classes or academic research.
  • Knowledge of basic cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemical principles.
  • Ability to use laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, pH meter, PCR machines etc.
  • Ability to handle tissue culture and maintain sterility.
