We are seeking two highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Preparers to join our client, a well-established CPA firm, on a temporary basis. These positions will provide essential support to the firm’s tax team and will involve a variety of tasks in document management, data retrieval, tax form preparation, and general office administration. The successful candidates will be proficient in various office and tax-related software, with a focus on efficiency and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Scanning and Document Management:

Efficiently scan and organize financial documents.
Maintain an organized, easily accessible digital filing system for client records.
Manage electronic files and ensure smooth document retrieval.
Downloading and Data Retrieval:

Download financial statements, reports, and relevant data from various online platforms.
Assist in retrieving data from client portals and external sources, ensuring accuracy.
Email Management:

Monitor and manage incoming emails, responding to routine inquiries.
Forward important messages to appropriate team members.
Categorize and organize emails for streamlined access.
Tax Forms Preparation:

Work closely with the tax team to prepare tax forms and related documents.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
Assist with the completion of various tax-related filings.
Tech-Savvy Responsibilities:

Stay current with the latest accounting software and tools.
Provide basic tech support for office equipment and software troubleshooting.
Liaise with IT support when necessary to resolve technical issues.
Desktop Operations:

Proficiently use spreadsheet and word processing software.
Perform routine desktop maintenance and organization to ensure smooth operations.
General Administrative Support:

Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members.
Support other administrative tasks as needed.
Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless office operations.
Provide support during peak tax season and assist with special projects.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in tax preparation or accounting is a plus, but not required.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and tax preparation software.
Tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot basic office equipment issues.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
