Job Description: Trade Finance Specialist
Location: Charlotte, NC

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Trade Finance Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on managing and supporting trade finance operations, including letters of credit, guarantees, and supply chain finance products. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, knowledge of trade finance instruments, and the ability to ensure compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Finance Operations:

Handle the issuance, amendment, and settlement of trade finance instruments such as letters of credit, standby LCs, and trade guarantees.
Process documentary collections and manage supply chain finance transactions.
Risk and Compliance:

Ensure all trade finance transactions comply with UCP 600, ISBP, and other applicable international trade regulations.
Monitor credit limits, manage collateral, and mitigate risks associated with trade finance activities.
Customer Support:

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance on trade finance products and documentation requirements.
Collaborate with clients to resolve discrepancies in trade documents and ensure seamless transaction processing.
Data Analysis and Reporting:

Prepare and analyze reports on trade finance activities, including volume, revenue, and operational metrics.
Use data insights to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced client service.
Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with relationship managers, credit teams, and legal departments to support trade finance operations.
Liaise with correspondent banks and external partners to ensure efficient processing of transactions.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in trade finance, banking, or financial services.
Strong knowledge of trade finance instruments, international trade practices, and regulatory frameworks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills; experience with trade finance systems is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
