The Boeing Company is seeking an Entry-Level or Associate Weight & Mass Properties Engineer to join our team in sunny Long Beach, CA. As a part of the Weights Engineering Team, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple commercial airplane models including derivatives, mods, and converted freighters. Our work scope encompasses Weights & Balance Manuals, Loading Schedules, Mass Properties, Service Bulletins, and Training to airplane operators. Position Responsibilities:
- Develops current and forecast weight, balance and mass properties data for out-of-production airplanes and Boeing Converted Freighters
- Author Weights and Balance Manual updates including development of CG envelope analysis.
- Review coordinated Service Requests to answer Customer questions
- Assists in developing Loading Schedules for individual airplanes
- Analyze Service Bulletins to determine impacts to weight and balance on the subject airplanes
- Research and provide analysis for jacking and shoring of airplanes prior to modifications
- Provide logistics support to our instructors teaching Weights & Balance classes
- Conduct thorough walk-through of airplane to be delivered in Victorville, CA
- Manifest / inventory all items aboard and provide analysis of expected gross empty weight
- Assists in conducting certified weighs
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range Entry-Level: $68,850 – $93,150
Summary pay range Associate: $81,600 – $110,400
