  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field required
  • A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in a related field required.
  • Experience creating logical design models.
  • Knowledge across the board on Windows Operating systems.
    • SCCM knowledge
    • Active Directory
    • Windows Server
    • Disaster Recovery
    • Backup Solution
    • Windows Scripting
    • LAN/WAN
  • Not necessary but nice to have:

    • Linux
    • VMWare/ VXRail
    • Storage & Backup
    • DBA (Database)
    • Field Support (EUC, Hardware, Desktop)
  • Strong knowledge designing, implementing, migrating, and troubleshooting.
  • Working technical knowledge of technology practices.
  • Post sales consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • Certifications at Associate or Professional level preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience with multiple technology disciplines is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.

  • Travel up to 50% of the time.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

What will you be doing?

The Engineer’s role is to ensure that WWT/industry best practices and methodologies are applied to design, deployment and operations of (technology) networks. This individual provides technical guidance and leadership to the customer and project engineering team and ensures project timelines are being met. They will be the technical point of contact for the customer and provide design, migration, and deployment guidance.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the delivery planning, design, implementation & optimization services as a post sales consultant to WWT’s Commercial Enterprise clients.
  • Create Low-Level and High-Level designs utilizing industry best practices.
  • Leads the delivery of solutions that could include routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and other hardware and software.
  • Oversees/performs new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
  • Performs installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer managed hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
  • Conduct research on products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the industry.
