Job Summary The Advanced Security Sales Engineer works as an equal partner with our Advanced Security Sales Specialists in matching up customers with Comcast Business managed security solutions. You will be required to possess presentation-ready knowledge and product expertise on all advanced cybersecurity solutions such as MDR, EDR, SIEM, UTM and Vulnerability scanning products. This role focuses on specializing in selling security-based solutions / services, carrying an overlay quota and not generally account-assigned. You will be pulled into accounts as opportunities are identified and may work with account-assigned sales account managers to close sales. Works independently with minimal-to-no supervision while also demonstrating the ability to lead projects and initiatives autonomously in support of the assigned product specialists as necessary. Acts as the defacto Subject Matter Expert during the sales process for the managed security solutions offered by CB which includes MDR, EDR, SIEM, UTM, Threat hunting & Vulnerability scanning. Provides best practice security architecture advice and recommendations for improving security posture for prospects and existing customers based on their existing networking environment Conducts in-person and/or virtual product demonstrations, working closely with product specialists during the pre-sales process and engages with the customer as their technical contact throughout the pre-sales cycle, demonstrating how our managed security solutions meet the customer’s business and technical needs. Understands and articulates the value proposition of our managed security solutions to prospects, peers, partners, customers and the public. Job Description Core Responsibilities  : As an Advanced Security Sales Engineer, you will work with customers and prospects to help do a high level evaluation and analysis of their current cybersecurity posture to determine if managed security products are available that would improve their security posture and provide a desirable security outcome for both the customer and Comcast Business. 5+ years experience in quota bearing cyber security solution selling Security Certification is a plus (Security+, CISSP, GIAC, SSCP, CEH) Knowledge of public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cybersecurity technologies is preferred Knowledge and/or expertise in IT, MDR, IDS/IPS, UTM, SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Security Automation. Partner with sales team in technical qualification and security architecture design The ability to relate to and engage members of both the technical and non-technical community Must be able to present effectively in front of large groups, both technically and non-technically oriented. The ability to be self-driven, enthusiastic and determined to succeed A real passion for learning new skills and technologies Demonstrable experience in objection handling and positioning against competitive technologies Ability to engage with a variety of technical and business leaders. Relevant Work Experience 5-7 Years Salary: Primary Location Pay Range: $100,846.92 – $151,270.38 Additional Range: This job can be performed in California, and Colorado with a Pay Range of $90,762.23 – $166,397.42 Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Targeted Commission: $100,000 Our sales compensation programs offer the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
