Assistant Director, Enrollment Events & Communications, Enrollment Management The Assistant Director, Enrollment Events & Communications is responsible for coordinating and managing the logistics and execution of prospective student events, both on campus and online, for the Enrollment Management Division. In collaboration with admissions leadership, this position manages event logistics, vendor and campus coordination and event staffing while ensuring a seamless experience for prospective and admitted students and guests. The position also supports Slate CRM communications by developing and deploying event-related and general email, SMS and communication flows to support recruitment, marketing and enrollment initiatives. The position supervises student employees who assist with event preparation, setup, guest support and teardown. Evening and weekend work is required to support assigned events. Work Location: Doheny Campus (Downtown Los Angeles). Hybrid work schedule available. Start Date: Immediately Application Deadline: Open until filled Annual Salary Rate Range: $70,304.04 – $71,027.00 Monthly Salary Rate Range: $5,858.67 – $5,918.92 Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate’s qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description. Duties and Responsibilities : Coordinate and manage the logistics and execution of on-campus and online recruitment and admission events for undergraduate and graduate audiences within the Enrollment Management Division. Manage event logistics, including facility and room reservations, catering, equipment and audiovisual needs, signage, vendors, setup and other operational requirements. Supervise and coordinate student employees who support event preparation, setup, guest assistance and teardown. Assign responsibilities, coordinate schedules, provide direction and ensure student employees are prepared to support assigned events. Coordinate with University Events, faculty, food services, Campus Safety, facilities management, information technology, vendors and other campus partners to ensure event logistics are completed accurately and on schedule. Build, schedule and deploy event-related and general Enrollment Management communications in Slate CRM, including email campaigns, SMS/text messaging and communication flows supporting recruitment, marketing and enrollment initiatives. Ensure communications are accurate, timely and appropriately targeted to specific audiences. Develop and maintain event timelines, project plans, checklists and schedules to ensure logistical and communication-related tasks are completed accurately and on time. Manage allocated event budgets, including monitoring expenses, coordinating vendor payments and ensuring appropriate and efficient use of University funds. Monitor and report on event participation and communication performance, including registrations, attendance, email engagement, SMS engagement and other relevant metrics within Slate CRM, to support continuous improvement. Other Duties and Responsibilities : Participate in appropriate conferences and meetings to develop support network in the area of admissions and recruitment events. Perform other duties, as assigned. Job Requirements: Knowledge : Understanding of event coordination and execution for on-campus and online events. Working knowledge of undergraduate, graduate and adult learner admission processes, preferably within higher education. Experience with CRM communication platforms, with experience using Slate preferred. Familiarity with project management principles and practices. Abilities and Skills : Excellent organizational, written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and logistical requirements simultaneously. Ability to build and deploy email and SMS communications using Slate or similar CRM platforms. Ability to supervise, train, assign work to and coordinate student employees. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels and across multiple University departments. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively with internal departments, external vendors and other partners. Ability to identify logistical challenges, assess options and implement appropriate solutions. Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with project management software, such as Asana, preferred. Education : Bachelor’s degree required. Experience : Two to four years of professional experience in event coordination, event operations, event marketing or a related field, preferably in higher education.
