The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC seeks applicants for a full-time, clinical-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Dentistry (Open Rank) in the Department of Endodontics and Periodontics. The ideal candidates will have a DDS or DMD degree or equivalent, a valid California license or eligibility for California licensure, a certificate of completion from an ADA accredited program in Periodontics, be board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Periodontology. We are also interested in candidates with additional qualifications such as teaching experience in an academic setting, demonstrated accomplishments in research, and education in M.S. or Ph.D. in biology, microbiology, or relevant fields. The responsibilities will vary based on the selected candidate’s profile and primarily focus on clinical and didactic teaching in the pre-doctoral dental program. Suitable candidates will have an opportunity to conduct research in microbial and viral pathogenesis. Our team of multidisciplinary scientists in infectious diseases will provide mentorship for qualified candidates to develop a competitive research program as an independent investigator. The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000-$125,000.
