Sarcoma, Melanoma and Soft Tissue Oncology Surgeon The Department of Surgery of Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California (USC) and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center are seeking a surgical oncologist with a focus on sarcoma, melanoma as well as other skin cancers and soft tissue malignancies. The successful applicant will bring an in-depth understanding of sarcoma biology and demonstrated expertise in sarcoma surgical techniques, and be able to work in a highly collaborative fashion with colleagues across medical oncology, orthopedics, radiation oncology and radiology as part of our distinguished multidisciplinary sarcoma program. The applicant will also have in-depth understanding of the inter-relationship between surgery and immunotherapy for melanoma, with demonstrated surgical expertise in complex regional node operations, including deep groin dissection, and local rotational flaps. In both areas, the successful candidate will actively participate in multidisciplinary clinical decision-making and design of clinical trials. The successful dynamic and collaborative candidate will join our vibrant practice in the division of Breast, Endocrine, and Soft Tissue Surgery, which provides significant opportunities for program building and working with colleagues across all clinical disciplines. A focus on teaching and an interest in participating in clinical research is desirable, as the division participates in ACGME-accredited teaching programs and is closely aligned with the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center which supports numerous cutting edge clinical trials in both melanoma and sarcoma.  In addition, there will be opportunities to practice at both LAC+USC (Los Angeles County) Medical Center and a growing network of community satellite locations across the region.
