The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children??s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics, are actively seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Assistant/Associate/ Professor of Clinical Pediatrics. The Department of Pediatrics at CHLA is looking for a Psychologist to serve as the Director of CHLA??s Department of Psychology, appointed by the Chief Clinical Officer with approval of CHLA President and CEO.  The Director provides administrative and clinical leadership for the Department of Psychology in alignment with the enterprise mission, vision, values, and goals. The Director represents the Department of Psychology and works cohesively with the program leaders in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, Social Work amongst other divisions and departments to implement and advance the Behavioral Health strategic plan.  The Director will collaborate with many stakeholders including, but not limited to: CHLA wide psychologists, division chiefs, division physicians, researchers, and clinicians; physician leadership including other department chairs and Directors, the Chief Medical Officer, the Chief of Medical Staff, etc.; Behavioral Health Executive Director; hospital executives, administrators, functions, and departments; hospital and medical group staff; leadership and administrators of the Saban Research Institute; the designated institutional official and teaching administration; administrators at USC and the Keck School of Medicine. In this leadership role, the Director is expected to: Demonstrate behaviors in concert with hospital mission, values, policies, & procedures. Demonstrate behaviors that support performance improvement activities Maintain competence and professional development. Maintains license, certification or registration as required. Perform other duties as requested. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, a California State License by the Board of Psychology, and be ABPP-certified or ABPP-eligible. Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program and completion of an APA-accredited internship. Ideal candidates would have completed a postdoctoral fellowship or supervised experience post-doctoral experience in clinical child, or pediatric psychology. Candidates should also have 5+ years in a leadership capacity, and 5 to 7 years of related clinical experience and expertise in evidence-based therapy to a child & adolescent or pediatric psychology population. CHLA serves as the principal pediatric referral resource for children and adolescents in the Southwestern United States, and is recognized for its advances in pediatric care, teaching, and research.  In the last year, Children??s Hospital had been ranked #5 on the US News World Report Best Children??s Hospitals Honor Roll with 10 nationally ranked pediatric specialties.  You will have the unique opportunity to work side by side with top professionals in the field.  Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience.
