MILITARY VETERANS

The University of Southern California (USC), founded in 1880, is the largest private employer in the City of Los Angeles. As an employee of USC, you will be a part of a world-class research university and a member of the “Trojan Family,” which is comprised of the faculty, students and staff that make the university what it is. The Department of Radiology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is recruiting an outstanding faculty member for a position in the Interventional Radiology section. The IR section is expanding to eight faculty members who provide a full range of complex vascular interventions across the health sciences campus located just east of downtown Los Angeles. Our facilities include Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, one of the largest safety net hospitals in the state, Keck Hospital of USC, a highly subspecialized tertiary/quaternary care academic medical center, and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital, one of the original nine NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers. A major strength of the USC DOR is the rich clinical experience derived from the tremendous variety in pathology across all of our clinical practice sites. The successful candidate will be board certified or equivalent and have completed an IR residency or fellowship, with an unrestricted California medical license. This full-time position requires significant clinical and technical expertise in all facets of vascular intervention including interventional oncology, trauma management, women??s health, prostate embolization, GI/GU interventions, and dialysis access management. A focused clinical and research interest is desired. A cornerstone value of the USC IR section is an unyielding commitment to trainee education at every level. There are extensive opportunities for research and other scholarly activities, both within the DOR and in collaboration with other departments across the health sciences and undergraduate campuses. The DOR maintains a robust research infrastructure including grant managers, study coordinators, and dedicated statisticians. The USC Department of Radiology is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community. We believe that diversity is integral to excellence and welcome interest from all individuals whose backgrounds, beliefs, or interest align with this commitment. The University of Southern California strongly values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity in employment.  Women and men, and members of all racial and ethnic groups, people with disabilities, and veterans are encouraged to apply.
