What You Will Be Doing

As a Bakery Manager, you will lead all aspects of the bakery department, combining your passion for fresh, high-quality products with strong leadership and customer focus. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional in-store experience by ensuring fast, friendly, and courteous service while offering fresh bakery items that meet customer expectations every day.

In this role, you will manage daily operations, drive sales and gross margin performance, and develop a high-performing team. You will play a key role in inventory control, shrink prevention, and maintaining product quality, freshness, and presentation-while upholding company standards, food safety, and all applicable policies.

Main Responsibilities

• Foster an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on fast, friendly, courteous service.

• Lead and manage bakery operations to achieve projected sales and gross margin objectives.

• Order, receive, check, and control inventory to ensure appropriate product quantity, quality, and freshness.

• Prevent shrink, damage, and spoilage through effective product handling, rotation, and inventory practices.

• Plan, schedule, and supervise bakery staff to ensure adequate coverage, productivity, and compliance with labor guidelines.

• Ensure compliance with company, division, and store policies; food safety and sanitation standards; and applicable laws.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bakery department at all times.

What We Are Searching For

• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to manage, coach, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented when interacting with customers and coworkers.

• Knowledge of basic math, weights, and measures.

• Ability to manage administrative responsibilities, including planning, scheduling, ordering, reporting, and inventory control.

• Sound judgment in prioritizing tasks and addressing customer concerns.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a temperature-controlled store environment.

• Frequent standing and movement throughout the department; frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and turning.

• Ability to lift, stack, and maneuver items up to approximately 55 lbs.

Pay Transparency:

Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range.
