Eaton’s CPDI PDI division is currently seeking a Coil Winder (Machine Operator)-3rd shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segements. The Coil Winder (Machine Operator)- 3rd Shift role offers a 32.5 hour work week with a $3/hour shift premium. Hours are 10:00pm-5:00am and will start Monday night and go till Saturday morning. 30 minute unpaid lunch break. Full Benefits, 401k plan, PTO, and paid holidays is offered to you day one of employment.
The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
This position will be responsible for winding transformer coils used in electrical equipment and instruments or as electronic components. Coils are built according to wiring diagrams, sample coil, or work order, using coil-winding machines and hand tools. Reviews diagrams and work order or examines sample coil to ascertain type and size of wire specified, and type, size, length, circumference, and primary and secondary windings of coil to be wound.
In this function you will:
• Wind standard coils for dry type transformers
• Perform welding and/or brazing to join bus bars to foil
• Utilize hook-up/hot work assembly tools to meet production demands
• Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to production quality standards related to coil dimension, bus bar location, etc.
• Maintain a minimum of 80% of productivity time standards
• Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints
• Keep all work areas clean, organized and presentable
• Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations
Qualifications:
Required (Basic):
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred:
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• 6 or more months using soldering/brazing/welding experience OR a completed welding certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent high school trades course
• Previous Machine Operation experience
Skills:
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to use and accurately read a tape measure
• Repetitive use of mallet to shape coils is required.
• Ability to weld and braze
• Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment as required
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
• Pushing & Pulling is required during the manufacturing process
