Make a difference in Imaging! As a full-time CT Technologist II at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends. The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues. Summary of Essential Duties: Accurately interpret a physician?s scanning instructions Administer contrast material Prepare and operate CT scan equipment Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading Cleans and disinfects patient rooms Follow infection control and safety guidelines Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology program required Licensure/Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiology certification (ARRT-R) required California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year from start date Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required Venipuncture certification required Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist required Applicants with less than 2 years of experience may be considered as a CT Tech I Experience in a hospital setting required, including Emergency Department and inpatient cases Experience with Trauma and Stroke patients required Experience with advanced exams, including Angio of abdomen or head and neck, required Keywords: Computed Tomography, Tech, Technologist, Technician, Imaging, Radiology, ARRT, CT, Healthcare, Hospital, Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, California
