Digital Marketing Manager University of Southern California | Rossier School of Education Los Angeles, CA *This position is located on the UPC campus and has a hybrid work schedule. Summary of position The USC Rossier School of Education seeks a mission-driven Digital Marketing Manager to join its dynamic marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing, this role is pivotal in crafting and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives student enrollment. The Digital Marketing Manager will spearhead inbound marketing initiatives, orchestrating content and strategies across various digital platforms to optimize audience engagement and conversion. This includes but is not limited to consumer-facing web content, campaigns, social media marketing, SEO, SEM, and other user-engaged copy. Ideally, you have experience with acquisition marketing best practices and a few years in a higher education environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Content Creation and Management Support the marketing and business needs of USC Rossier by assisting and executing a strategic marketing plan based on empathy with target audiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a digital content calendar aligned with broader communication objectives. Oversee all aspects of paid marketing efforts, working closely with external vendors. Manage touchpoints on digital channels and leverage analytics to establish KPIs. Provide insights and recommendations for short and longer-term optimizations to improve content performance and conversions (e.g. A/B Testing). Drive website enhancements to create engaging digital experiences for target audiences. Vendor and Project Management Assist in the selection and management of marketing agencies. Cultivate relationships with internal and external marketing professionals and vendors (designers, photographers, advertising representatives, etc.). Assist in managing our primary vendors marketing efforts through collaborative thought partnerships to achieve marketing goals. Monitor schedules, production, and distribution arrangements and other details to ensure timely completion and quality control of marketing activities and publications. Administers marketing budget(s), as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study to marketing. 3-5 years of marketing experience in higher education or working in digital marketing across various platforms. Experience creating and managing paid campaigns across a variety of channels. A foundational understanding of how to create and optimize paid campaigns across a variety of platforms. Solid understanding of SEO, as well as emerging digital content, marketing, and audience acquisition practices; basic understanding of HTML and web publishing. Experience managing a content calendar. Eye for compelling and strategic creativity. Ability to inspire creatives to bigger ideas and generate some ideas on their own. Familiarity with SEO guidelines and keyword research tools (e.g. Moz and Google Keyword Planner), and web marketing (ie. Google Analytics). Thorough knowledge of marketing and business management. Knowledge of the principles, practices, concepts and methodology of marketing. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills, the ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors, and excellent decision-making, time-management, and planning skills. Administers assigned budget. The scope of work can be completed in a hybrid work schedule. This means time in the office will be used to complete essential on-site tasks and to have meaningful interactions with staff members, students and the Rossier/USC community. A schedule will be agreed upon between you and your supervisor and is subject to change based on business needs and work performance. There will be a dedicated office space that is shared by you and other members of your team. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: In order for your application to be considered, you must attach a cover letter and resume. The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000-$95,000.
