Executive Director of Student Life, Women’s Leadership and Community Engagement Mount Saint Mary’s University, Los Angeles seeks an experienced and talented Student Affairs professional to serve as the Executive Director of Student Life, Women’s Leadership and Community Engagement. The position provides strategic leadership initiatives that provide a vibrant, transformative educational experience for students. The Executive Director serves as an advocate for students and leads efforts to provide a campus environment that fosters student learning experiences centered on student leadership development, involvement, belonging, and service to others that are informed by the University and CSJ mission and traditions. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Executive Director provides leadership, vision and administrative supervision for the Offices of Women’s Leadership and Community Engagement and Student Involvement and Inclusion. The position carries responsibilities for leadership programs, student government, orientation, and student involvement, risk mitigation, learning outcomes assessment, continuous quality assurance, and strategic planning efforts which support services and programs related to student retention and persistence. The Executive Director of Student Life, Women’s Leadership, and Community Engagement, serves as a member of the Student Affairs Leadership Team. As the Advisor to the Student Government Association, they provide mentorship and guidance. In collaboration with the Department of History and Political Science they administer a course associated with the Mount Leadership Scholars program. The Executive Director collaborates closely with Career and Professional Development with a specific focus on the integration of leadership development through the Mount Leads program and the university (M) Power program for student success. They advance the strategic efforts of the University and the Division of Student Affairs, participate in the planning, implementation, and assessment/evaluation of the student experience, provide student and community involvement opportunities that facilitate the development of students as leaders, learners, and advocates for the common good. A successful candidate will have a minimum of a Master of Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Psychology or related degree, five years of increasing responsibility/leadership and experience in higher education, student leadership development or related field. Experience with supervision of staff and students, student government, clubs/organizations, and experience with community or service-learning models is preferred. Fluency with social or digital media/communications and learning management systems; Client Relationship Management System for early alerts and retention is desirable. Innovative use of digital media and communication with college students will help the candidate with success in the role.
