About the RoleLocated in Costa Mesa, Calif., perform on-site or in-house repair of imaging products including Mirrorless cameras, Digital SLR Cameras, Lens, Flash, Binoculars, Powershots, EF and RF lens, Speedlite Flash, etc. This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory. Your Impact– Perform on-site or in-house servicing, repair of company products. Perform general maintenance tasks, troubleshoot, repair DSLR Camera, Lens, and Flash system – Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment – Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures – Prepare reports for analyses of product failure trends and service ability issues – Work on assignments that are moderately difficult requires attention to detail. Also, requires judgement for resolving issues brought up by level 1 and 2 technicians, based on established procedures and guidelines. – Act as an escalation point for problems not resolved by level 1 and 2 technicians – Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications to provide efficient and responsive service to customers – Generate service revenue by repairing designated equipment – Maintain all technical information and Canon property assigned – Prepare reports and other data for the department to ensure accurate information and recordkeeping – Communicate with supervisor, and other departments as necessary, regarding the solution of technical and/or customer service related problem areas – Perform high demand repair volume to support departmental goal of Turn Around Time – Perform quality control related to repairs and provide reports and countermeasures – Perform product training to internal/external clients – Conduct product rework/modifications/ New product inspection. About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring– Typically requires general education or vocational training – Ability to demonstrate fundamental knowledge of electromechanical equipment – Minimum 6 months repair experience of camera or optical products or min. of 2 years of repair experience in the Electronic Field. – Proficient with MS excel, Word, Powerpoint – This position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job and must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies. – May require up to 20% travel (international and domestic travel). Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record necessary. Valid US passport required. – Must be able to lift min. 15lbs in camera/lens/case weight. In accordance with California law, we are providing the anticipated hourly rate for this role: $17.20 – $25.49 The company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.
