Job Summary The Laboratory Technician will assist with various aspects of laboratory and field research, including analysis of rock samples using a variety of analytical methods. Essential Job Duties Maintenance of lab supplies and cleanliness. Laboratory sample prep for XRF and LA-ICPMS analyses. Electron microprobe analysis. Mineral separation. Assistance with field-based pXRF and pLIBS analyses. Data reduction and analysis. Basic Qualifications Completed undergraduate coursework in geology, mineralogy, and igneous petrology. Coding capabilities (Python or MATLAB, preferred). Ability to work outdoors and perform fieldwork.
