Lecturer in Linguistic Anthropology 2026-2027 University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF11061 The UCLA Department of Anthropology seeks part-time lecturers with outstanding teaching records to fill positions for academic year 2026-27. Successful candidates will teach the following upper-division undergraduate courses: Anthro 153: Language and Identity (Fall 2026) Anthro 169: Selected Topics in Regional Cultures: Italy and the Mediterranean (Winter 2027) Anthro 159: Selected Topics in Linguistic Anthropology (Spring 2027) For more details on undergraduate course offerings in linguistic anthropology, please see the course descriptions in the UCLA General catalog, available here: UCLA General Catalog . Applicants are required to hold a Ph.D. at the time of appointment, and preference will be given to those who have demonstrated effectiveness in lecture courses. See Table 15 Unit 18 Faculty (Pre-Six Year Lecturers) for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is at an annual salary range of $70,977 – $73,107.
