Summary of Essential Duties: The Materials and Vendor Services Coordinator oversees the day-to-day product inventory operations for designated areas. Collaborates with medical, research and/or nursing staff and all areas of Support Services including, but not limited to Central Issues, Purchasing, Warehouse, Receiving, Billing, Processing, Clinical Engineering and information systems. Responsible for inventory functions and product and/or accounting discrepancies as a result of those functions. Provide daily operational analysis through maintenance of automated information systems. Recommends inventory consumption control measures. Responsible for determining usage, lead time, safety stock, minimum and maximum quantity for all inventory as assigned. Responsible for sourcing and procurement of all supplies and material needed for assigned area. Work with external vendors and representatives on delivery of items and storage requirements. Forecasts inventory utilization based on standard acceptable par level. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required Associate’s Degree/College Diploma preferred Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital, Materials Management, Shipping/Receiving/Distribution or other customer service-related field required Hospital inventory experience preferred Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheet applications required
