Description
Provide clerical support for staff and physicians in the Community Practice office. Responsible for processing medical records, and general errands, duplication services and practice support.
Salary Range: $23,58-$33.05/hour
Senate Bill 525 was signed into law by Governor Newsom in October 2023. Starting June 1, 2026, SB525 sets a new $25/hour minimum wage for nonexempt healthcare workers and raises the exempt employee salary threshold to $1,500/week (equivalent to $6,500/month or $78,000/year). In accordance with SB 525, as the offer amount outlined in this letter falls below the minimum salary required by the legislation, we will provide a supplementary amount to ensure compliance. The total compensation package, including this supplement, will meet the minimum salary standards set forth by SB 525.Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to push, pull, lift and carry loads up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Strong understanding of alphabetic and numeric filing systems
- Ability to safely use a variety of duplication and fax equipment
- Written and spoken English skills sufficient to communicate effectively with persons from a wide range of social, economic, and educational backgrounds.
- Skill in reading standard English text to follow instructions, memos, and understand physician schedules and requests
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, completing tasks in an environment with frequent interruptions and varying workloads.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members, physicians and patients.
- Working knowledge of filing procedures and systems
