Nurse Services Supervisor 2 – Staffing and Patient Placement – FT/Days Updated: Feb 20, 2024 Location: Orange Job Type: Department: Staffing and Patient Placement UC Title: NURSE SVC SUPV 2 Position Number: 41055026 Reports to: Nursing Director Working Title: Nurse Services Supervisor 2 Cost Center: Staffing and Patient Placement (428730) Bargaining Unit: No Bargaining Unit FLSA: Nonexempt Date Created: 2/01/2024 Job Code: 006508 Hours: 40 Shift: Full-Time/Days FTE: 0.9 Position Summary: The House Supervisor is responsible for all administrative management functions related to patient placement, the delivery of patient care and throughput functions, as well as the quality of nursing practice and the standards of care, throughout the Medical Center during off hours, weekends & holidays. The supervisor will work in collaboration with all Clinical Care Operations staff and provide support to all hospital units throughout the Medical Center while maintaining clinical nursing practice skills and unit specific expertise. Specific duties include leading staff, directing patient care activities, expediting and escalating concerns to senior leadership, liaising with patients and families, monitoring & facilitating bed placement, providing clinical support to all acute care units and the Emergency Department, and participating on performance improvement initiatives. Serves as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients, and Medical Center guests. Salary Range: Hourly Rate Minimum $53.26 Midpoint $78.11 Maximum $102.97 Required Qualifications: Current BLS, ACLS & PALS certifications Knowledge of JCAHO and other regulatory requirements present in an acute care setting Strong customer service orientation as well as written and oral communication skills Demonstrated supervisory experience working in an acute care setting Complete understanding of acuity levels for all patient populations All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Current California RN license Minimum of 4 years recent clinical nursing experience in adult acute care, (within the last two years) Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications: ANCC recognized RN certification uniquely applicable to this specific unit, (general certifications, such as WCC, will not be acceptable for meeting this requirement).
