The University of Southern California (USC), founded in 1880, is the largest private employer in the City of Los Angeles. As an employee of USC, you will be a part of a world-class research university and a member of the “Trojan Family,” which is comprised of the faculty, students and staff that make the university what it is.  The Department of Translational Genomics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC of is seeking part-time lecturers for its Master??s Program in Translational Biotechnology.  In addition to teaching established courses, the part-time lecturer will have opportunities to participate in new course development in support of the program??s curriculum goals.  Expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desired: fundamental biotechnology, drug discovery, biotechnology and cell based therapeutics, biological and chemical therapeutic modalities, intellectual property protection and biotechnology law for bioscientists, or biomedical science communication.  The idea candidate should have a terminal degree or significant professional experience in the relevant subject.  Higher education teaching experience is desirable but not required.  Enthusiasm in master??s education using active learning pedagogy is a must.
