Patient Record Abstractor II – Health Information – F/T Days Updated: Dec 5, 2023 Location: Orange Job Type: Department: Health Information UC Title: PAT RCDS ABSTRACTOR 2 Position Number: 40317038 Reports to: Health Information Mgt Mgr 1 Working Title: Patient Record Abstractor II Cost Center: Health Information (428701) Bargaining Unit: AFSCME FLSA: Nonexempt Date Created: 12/21/2019 Job Code: 004718 Hours: 40 Shift: Not Applicable FTE: 1 Position Summary: The PRA II in Record Completion is responsible for analyzing patient record content in order to accurately assign documentation deficiencies to the responsible physician; communicating/coordinating with medical and house staff regarding healthcare record deficiencies; and providing assistance to phsycians in the completion of incomplete healthcare rcords and documents according to hospital by-laws, rules, regulations and JCAHO guidelines. Prepares and complies daily, weekly and monthly statistical reports, ensuring integrity of chart deficiency databse, and participates in departmental PI projects.
