PD Hospital Assistant II – Patient Lift & Transport – PD/Night Updated: Apr 22, 2024 Location: Orange Job Type: Department: Patient Lift & Transport UC Title: HOSP AST 2 PD Position Number: 40316248 Reports to: Patient Transport Manager 1 Working Title: PD Hospital__Assistant II Cost Center: Patient Lift & Transport (428370) Bargaining Unit: AFSCME FLSA: Nonexempt Date Created: 3/01/2024 Job Code: 009244 Hours: 12 Shift: PD/Nights FTE: 0.3 Position Summary: Incumbent will coordinate team work flow and dispatch team members throughout the hospital to promote efficient transfer and lift services to assist with safe patient handling while maintaining a safe work environment for the patient care providers. Additionally, incumbent will track, deliver, clean, and perform basic repair of equipment & supplies. Salary Range: Hourly Rate Minimum $28.74 Midpoint $28.74 Maximum $28.74 Required Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Minimum one year experience in a healthcare environment or training in a healthcare/emergency/rescue field Skill to perform basic mathematical computations, and to use general office equipment including computers, copiers, and calculators Must be available to work overtime as patient care needs demand Current BLS certification required by time of hire Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
