PD Pharmacy Technician II – ACC Infusion Center Pharm – PD/Day Updated: Feb 5, 2024 Location: Irvine Job Type: Department: ACC – Irv Pharmacy Infusion UC Title: PHARMACY TCHN 2 PD Position Number: 41061059 Reports to: Pharmacy Manager 4 Working Title: PD Pharmacy Technician II Cost Center: ACC – Irv Pharmacy Infusion (427167) Bargaining Unit: AFSCME FLSA: Nonexempt Date Created: 1/29/2024 Job Code: 009278 Hours: 12 Shift: Per Diem/Days FTE: 0.3 Position Summary: The Pharmacy Technician will prepare, package, document, label, and deliver or prepare for delivery drug products with an emphasis on infusion drugs under the direct technical supervision of the Pharmacist. Performs all required data entry, documentation, and filing associated with the drug preparation and distribution process and performs functions related to drug purchasing and inventory control procedures. The Pharmacy Technician will participate in the Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect data for workload measurements as needed or required. This position may require participation in training and orienting new employees and/or pharmacy interns. Salary Range: Hourly Rate Minimum $33.58 Midpoint $33.58 Maximum $33.58 Required Qualifications: Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate in good standing. Must be able to demonstrate proper aseptic compounding techniques 1+ year experience in admixing sterile drugs Minimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Minimum 2 years in a pharmacy performing sterile compounding. Possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties, including conceptual knowledge of USP797, USP800, and use of closed-system transfer devices. Previous experience working with hazardous drugs Previous experience utilizing automated dispensing cabinets and/or EPIC, electronic health record.
