Per Diem Anesthesia Technician- Anesthesiology- Evening Shift Updated: Apr 4, 2024 Location: Orange Job Type: Department: Anesthesiology – General UC Title: ANESTHESIA TCHN PD Position Number: 40322719 Reports to: Anesthesia/Clin Supp Svc Spv 1 Working Title: Per Diem Anesthesia Technician Cost Center: Anesthesiology – General (427040) Bargaining Unit: AFSCME FLSA: Nonexempt Date Created: 10/12/2023 Job Code: 008899 Hours: 4 Shift: Not Applicable FTE: 0.1 Position Summary: The Anesthesia Tech assists the anesthesiologists with the placement of patient monitoring lines and difficult intubations, as well as any other invasive or noninvasive procedures as appropriate. Responsible for maintaining, ordering, and stocking anesthesia supplies and equipment providing first line equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting. Works closely with Anesthesia, the OR Manager, and Biomedical engineering to ensure that all equipment and supplies are within the required expiration dates, available, well maintained and clean. Salary Range: Hourly Rate Minimum $33.89 Midpoint $33.89 Maximum $33.89 Required Qualifications: Basic mathematical skills to quickly and accurately add, subtract, divide, and multiply whole numbers and decimals manually or using a calculator Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently Demonstrated experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or a fast paced OR environment The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure Availability to rotate shifts, take call and work weekends Ability to speak, read and follow directions in English Licenses and Certifications: Certified Anesthesia Tech(Preferred) Basic Life Support(Required) Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of medical computer software systems) Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
