Salary Range: Hourly Rate Minimum $35.82 Midpoint $35.82 Maximum $35.82 Required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year experience as a Psychiatric Technician Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) within 30 days of hire Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations Knowledge of psychotropic medications and affects Demonstrated ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify when something is wrong or likely to go wrong, as well as alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to situations Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support(Required) Psychiatric Technician(Required) Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a mental health clinical setting, with the mentally ill Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
