The Proposals Analyst III is responsible for working directly with the North America Commercial Operations (NACO) Sales team to strategically develop Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), Commercial Laboratories, Blood Bank, or Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) master agreements, addendum, amendments and successfully respond to RFI/RFP Bids. The person in this role will competitively manage and respond to requests by leveraging knowledge and experience with redlining terms and conditions, proposed product line configurations, pricing, and value proposition to drive execution of contracts and deal approvals where considerable judgment, analysis and initiative are critical. This role interacts with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) throughout the organization to gain appropriate information and partners closely with NACO sales to help drive deal closures and deliver winning RFPs.

This position is part of the Proposals team located in Brea, CA and will be hybrid (on-site every Tuesday and Wednesday). At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Prepare complex, customized contracts which involve the integration of many diverse elements of high cost/ revenue, to ensure compliance to company policies, GPO’s terms and pricing guidelines to support profitable sales growth
  • Collaborate and consult with Sales Lead with strategies to navigate through objections, presenting alternative contract options, and/or propositioning value to help drive deal closures
  • Regularly explains in business terms process improvement, the impact on both the business and profitability of the contract to assist sales and support staff in understanding the processes, bottlenecks, and inconsistencies
  • Conducts or participates in proposal reviews with management and responsible for teams’ analytics and reporting needs. i.e., bowler, daily management, workload utilization, NA contract volume, and any other ad hoc report requests
  • Initialize or support Request for Proposals (RFP)/Bid task-team with task-date assignments for multi-product RFPs to complete final-deadline requirement-date

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field with 3+ years’ experience OR Master’s degree in field with 1+ years’ experience OR Doctoral degree with 0+ years’ experience
  • 3+ years working experience in a combination of Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Contracting, Quoting, or Pricing role
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and redline terms and conditions in a contract
  • Project Management / Process improvement experience

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Oracle, PowerBI or other ERP system
  • Familiarity with Request for Proposals (RFP) requirements that include small business, labor laws, minority business compliance
  • Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

The salary range for this role is $82,000 – $88,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
