Job Summary The Bronner Lab in the Division of Biology and Biological Engineering is seeking a motivated individual to join as a Research Technician. The successful candidate will assist on one or more projects to study neural crest and its role in development and regeneration in non-model organisms, such as lamprey and sturgeon. Essential Job Duties Conduct scientific analysis of experimental results related to molecular and developmental biology (PCR, plasmid preparation, in situ hybridizations, microscopy and histological techniques). Lamprey husbandry. Interpret experimental findings with PIs. Keep detailed records of experimental research. Will contribute to assembling publications. Perform other related duties assigned. Basic Qualifications BS degree or higher with 2 years of relevant scientific research experience. Experience with molecular biology and embryology of model organisms like Lamprey. Must be able to work well with others and keep accurate records, with precise attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with embryology of model organisms, such as lamprey, and background in phylogenomic and molecular biology (in situ hybridizations, PCR, cloning).
