Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Cardio Vascular RN is responsible to ensure the patient safety during the Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology/Neuro Interventional Radiology/ procedures. The RN is responsible for maintaining communication with the physician and charge/or manager to keep the flow throughout the day. The RN is responsible for staying abreast of the changes to department and industry standard. The RN is responsible for filtering this information to the procedural staff members. On call requirement with a 30-minute response time. Department Procedures include but are not limited to Coronary angiogram/angioplasty Peripheral angiogram/angioplasty Neuro interventional angiogram/angioplasty Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) and Thoracic vessel repair Neuro Coronary Peripheral Pulmonary Thrombectomy Central/Port placement and removal Electrophysiology procedures including Ablation Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) procedures Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) Cardioversion Stress Tests’ What It Takes to be Successful Total Compensation We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding. Required Qualifications: Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System License/Certifications: Current California RN License; Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification. Education and Experience: The qualified candidate must be a graduate of an accredited RN program, possess a current California RN license and have a least with 1-year acute care experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Intensive Care Unit. Knowledge and Ablititles: Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served; 12 Lead EKG interpretations required; Annual Update, Education assignments; Completion of all teaching assignments provided for professional enhancement.
