The Senior Manager Accounting for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for overseeing global consolidations, general ledger, and reporting processes. This senior manager will provide leadership to managers and professional associates, build relationships with internal finance and accounting associates, internal auditors, external auditors, and associates within Danaher Corporate finance.
This position is part of the Finance & Accounting department and will be located in Brea, CA and will be hybrid. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Corporate Accounting & Reporting team and report to the Director of Accounting responsible for North America and Global Consolidations accounting. If you thrive in a multifaceted role and want to work to build a world-class accounting organization—read on.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Manage and monitor global monthly close, consolidation, and reporting process to ensure results are reported timely and accurately.
- Involved in month end closing general ledger activities including intercompany accounting, accruals, prepaids, cash and payroll accounting. This includes reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze profit in inventory elimination entry monthly.
- Prepare quarterly supplementals and review monthly statistics provided to Danaher (parent company)
- Preparation of supporting documents for annual tax package
- Manage administration of Blackline system
- Coordinate and collaborate with auditors to address external and internal audit requests
- Manage a team of 5 direct reports
The essential requirements of the job include:
- BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting
- Big 4 experience and CPA license preferred
- 14+ years of mix of public accounting and private experience, with progressive responsibility in the accounting function or
- Master’s Degree with 12+ years of experience and
- Related experience should include 4+ years managing people
- Working experience with accounting ERP systems, MS Excel and MS Word
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Account reconciliations
- General Ledger accounting
- Consolidations accounting

The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $165,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
