As the Senior MRI Technologist, you will perform basic and complex MR imaging
procedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require an
in-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology,
pharmacology and medical terminology. Advanced imaging skills and techniques
would be demonstrated by competence in 3 or more of the following advanced
imaging applications:
- MR
Angiography (MRA) – cardiac and advanced cardiac/CVMR,
peripheral vascular/PVMR, and or neurovascular – EPI applications: DWI, PWI,
DTI , ASL - MR
Spectroscopy (MRS) – Brain, or Breast, or Prostate - MR
Enterography, MR Defecography and MR Prostate with endo-rectal coil - Interventional
MR – MR Guided fine needle breast and or
prostate biopsies - Functional
MR (fMRI) – Brain - Therapeutic
MR (HiFu) – Fibroid tumors
You will be expected to support all imaging
centers staffed by our organization.

standards required for a senior position, you may be considered for a Staff MRI
Technologist position*

Staff
Technologist: $52.22 – $ 68.84 Hourly
Senior
Technologist: $54.79 – $72.30 Hourly
Salary Range: $52.22 – $72.30 Hourly
Qualifications
Please ensure
your resume includes a list of all relevant certifications and licenses
- At least 3 years MRI Experience – required for Senior
Technologist - Licenses
o A combination of the ARRT and CRT – required. MR
certificate required
OR
o A combination of the ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) – required
- Venipuncture certificate – required
- BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red
Cross – required - Graduate from a Radiologic Technologist Program –
required - AA or BS – preferred
- Siemens experience – preferred
- Demonstrates competence in modifying protocols as
required producing optimal diagnostic images. - Demonstrates ability to train additional MR staff in
addition to performing the advanced procedures without direction
themselves - You will be required to rotate to
all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health
