The USC Keck School of Medicine is seeking to hire a full-time Sr. Pathologists Assistant/Clinical Educator . As an active member of the surgical pathology team, the Sr. Pathologists Assistant/Clinical Educator, serves as the chief clinical liaison across the institutions and services lines. Acts as the primary educator and preceptor for all pathology students, interns, residents, fellows and new employees in the Surgical Grossing Room and Autopsy Suite. Ensures the provision of progressive, cost effective, quality patient care in anatomical pathology (surgical pathology and autopsy pathology) through expert practice, education, consultation, research and leadership. Acts as a key contact person for pathologists, grossing and histology staff to identify problem areas and recommend changes to workflow. Assists in the organization and coordination of anatomic pathology conferences and tumor boards. The Keck School of Medicine Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is one of the largest pathology departments in the United States. The Department aims to shape the future of pathology as it will be practiced in community hospitals, academic medical centers, and clinical laboratories throughout the country. The University offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Shift: Monday Friday: 8:30 am 5:00 pm Salary Range: The annual base salary range for this position is $155,819.41 – $183,094.52 annually. Minimum Education: Master’s DegreeMinimum Experience:4 years experience in the field of anatomical pathologyMinimum Knowledge and Skills: Directly related experience in Anatomic pathology in an Acute Care Facility setting and thorough knowledge of specialized field.Preferred Education: Masters degree; degree from an accredited Pathologists Assistant program.
