About the GI Lab The Specialty Technician II is an integral member of the GI Endoscopy team, providing technical support for patient procedures while helping ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the GI Lab. Working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, this position assists with GI procedures, supports scope reprocessing activities, maintains equipment readiness, and collaborates with endoscopists, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other members of the healthcare team. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Experience: Minimum one year of equivalent on-the-job training assisting with general endoscopic procedures. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) required upon hire; Certified Surgical Technologist is preferred. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program preferred.
