The Sr. Marketing Manager, Tradeshows and Events for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for planning, developing and executing global tradeshows and events. This hybrid position is part of the Global Marketing organization at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics.  We are looking for a self-starter to build a best-in-class tradeshow program that elevates the customer experience and delivers best-in-class results.
 

This position is part of the Global Marketing Organization located in Brea, CA and will be Hybrid, with at typically 2 days or more in office per week. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Global Marketing Operations Team and report to the Director of Global Marketing Operations responsible for Global Tradeshows and Events.  If you thrive in a cross functional, leadership, fast-paced role and want to work to build a world-class Marketing organization—read on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the Global Tradeshow strategy and serve as a strategic advisor to stakeholders.

  • Plan, execute and handle all aspects of pre- and post-event management, including venue/booth space selection, sponsorship opportunities, operational logistics, compliance, etc.

  • Negotiate terms and conditions with event venues and partners, to include Master Service Agreements and Sope of Work, to meet service expectations and ensure appropriate expense management.

  • Track tradeshow/event budgets and expenses.

  • Establish and measure KPI’s to determine the qualitative and quantitative effectiveness of tradeshows.

  • Collaborate /lead /influence cross-functional internal team members and external vendors and ensure cross-functional alignment and high-quality tradeshow and event deliverables are delivered within event timelines.

  • Act in a continuous improvement mode to maintain team documents and playbooks and create processes to scale and remain efficient.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field with 14+years demonstrated capability or master’s degree with 12+years demonstrated capability.

  • Experience coordinating large global trade shows/events in large, global environments.

  • Lead direct report.

  • Excel in Project Management and proficient in Excel

  • Ability to travel about 25-35%. Includes global travel and over weekends. 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, working with cross-functional and multiple-regional team members and be able to work with ambiguity.

  • Strategic thinker who understands how to prioritize urgency and acts with focus.

  • Experience in Healthcare, IVD, medical device, life sciences industry.

  • Certified Meeting Professional, Cvent, CRM and management tools a plus.

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $140K to $180k This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
