What will you be doing in this role: The Virtual Second Opinion (VSO) Program Coordinator provides strategic support with a mid-to-large scale, recognized organizational program by coordinating all operations for the VSO program to facilitate the effective management, according to organizational standards. Responsible for patient engagement, medical record collection, scheduling and coordination, and follow-up post-VSO. Overall program efficiency as they directly impact nurse workflow and provider report timelines. Primary contact forprospectivepatients and for active patient navigation. Serves as liaison between Cedars-Sinai VSO program and patients. Responsible for scheduling and coordinating appointments, handling complaints/ questions, and escalating issues to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner. Monitors and assess their own workflow to find opportunities for improvement. Demonstrates compassion, positivity, and professionalism. Utilizes AIDET during patient interactions and shows sensitivity and attention to the patient populations served. Consistently meets productivity standards/guidelines set by the department. Adheres to all patient services protocols and ensures charting is completed in appropriate applications. Performs basic audits for assigned initiatives. Demonstrates consistent practice of Patient Service Standards in the performance of duties. Provides patients with details on their care plans, ensures timely scheduling of clinical appointments, and arranges for all non-patient care services that support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centric care. Performs Record and Image collection from outside facilities nationally and internationally.Responsible for following CSMC and HIPAA confidentiality guidelines while performing all duties. Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients using administrative knowledge. Manages the post Virtual Second Opinion process for patients, including but not limited to, ensuring patients receive copies of medical reports, physician instructions, and any follow-up material. Hybrid Remote = must currently live in Los Angeles area or willing to relocate to LA area for onsite requirements Qualifications Experience Requirements: Two (2) plus years of administrative or strategic support experience. Organizational Program or Project coordination/support experience; utilizing program/project management and development procedures. Educational Requirements: High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor?s degree in healthcare, business administration, management, or related field is preferred. #LI-Hybrid #LI-JM1
