Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for the day to day operation of the electrical systems for the property.
Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be a licensed Electrician in the respective state of employment.
  • Ability to work on electrical systems from low voltage up to 480v.
  • Ability to track labor and materials for billing purposes.
  • Responsible for ensuring work performed is completed meeting all codes and regulations.
  • Responsible for the day to day operations and repairs of the electrical systems throughout the property.
  • Be able to troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Be familiar with equipment controls.
  • Be proficient with electrical volt / ohm meters and other electrical test equipment.
  • Assists in related areas of work that is renovations repairs and alterations to electrical apparatus.
  • Maintain in safe condition all power distribution and electrical systems throughout the hotel and reports all malfunctions to their supervisor asap.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules safety awareness information operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports keep logs and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with customers and fellow workers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day to day maintenance of the hotel under the direction of Engineering Management.
  • To continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guests and associates.
  • To be willing to train and instruct other members of the staff by passing along knowledge and skills to assist them in their development and the advancement of your own.
  • To strive to become an independent mechanic able to analyze problems and to formulate plans to get work done quickly with a high degree of quality.
  • Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
  • Ensures a complete understanding of and adheres to the policies within the employee’s handbook.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities to the standard set by the department and company.
  • As applicable this position will need to demonstrate the ability to bid jobs and complete work while tracking time and material to ensure profitability.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with codes and is able to read schematics and blue prints.
  • Set up electrical systems for guest functions.
  • Install conduit runs.
  • Be familiar with generator transfer switch motors and controllers.
  • Keep engineering and work areas clean.
  • Ensure a complete understanding of and adheres to company’s fire and safety procedures.
  • Maintains sound knowledge of company’s facilities and related services.
  • Attend meetings training and/or perform other duties as required.

Compensation MinUSD $23.72/Hr. Compensation MidUSD $29.65/Hr. Compensation MaxUSD $35.58/Hr.
