Sale Support Engineer Job Description

Vyve Broadband provides high-speed data, television, and voice services to residential and business customers in rural markets. Vyve Commercial offerings include Fiber based WAN services, Internet, Hosted Phone as well as Small, Medium Business Modem services.

Job Description:

  • Direct Sales Support
  • Technical Liaison between the Customer and Account Executive.
  • Create Network designs for LAN, WAN, Internet circuits, voice services and Wi-Fi
  • Design, preparation, and delivery of technical presentations
  • Customer relationship building

Job Responsibilities:

Installs and maintains customer premise equipment, i.e., routers, switches, and media converters.

  • Design, preparation, and delivery of technical presentations, developing sales opportunities and assisting the Sales Team in successful closure.
  • Provide technical support to sales staff in determining application of company products to meet customer requirements.
  • Analyzing customer requirements to understand how Vyve Commercial services can be applied to meet their needs and solve their problems.

 

  • Working with the sales team on account strategy and identifying additional opportunities in existing accounts.
  • Generates management reports on various system & network metrics.
  • Providing consultation to potential customers on Fiber, Wireless, SD-WAN and Hosted Voice technical solutions.
  • Travels to systems on a regular basis to provide ongoing technical sales expertise in support of sales goals
  • Provides training and support to sales team.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of work experience, training, and education
  • 2 + years of sales experience.
  • 1-3 years of business experience in the Telephone, Hybrid Fiber Coax or Data Industries. 
  • Networking industry certifications desired (ENA, CCNA, CCNP, Network+, etc.).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Network Design Architecture.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various Networking Architectures and protocols, e.g., TCP/IP, CWDM, DWDM, 10/100/1000 Base-T, Wireless, SIP Trunks, PRI, Hosted Voice.
  • Requires willingness to travel, excellent interpersonal and relationship skills, and an innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Must have strong customer service skills and be committed to providing quality service in support of departmental goals.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Loading and unloading of parts, tools and equipment required. Bending, stooping, walking, and lifting more than 25 pounds required.
